I hear people suggest to burn @ 2x but I buy the 8x Verbatim dl discs and burn em @ 4x an they play fine on my Samsung Drive.

I've been using the cheap playo 2.4 dl dvd's....I have five flawless working backups...but it's still crappy media!

Everyone should save their money... Pay a little more now for better discs and you will save in the long run !!!  
BUY NOTHING ELSE...  but VERBATIM   MKM (mitsubishi) discs in jewel cases...   Made in singapore.  Those others in spindles are from taiwan and are crappy imitations...

I dont have any vertabrims, but the TDK discs work perfectly. For $25 for a pack of 5 ya cant beat it lol

oh god. someone said playo cheap shit and nice shit. so i orderd myself 100 of them.... guess what after 45 burns i was like MOTHER! since i have a hitachi drive it will never work. actually once it accidently turned on im like holy shit i did it then i restart my console. im like WTF. so basicly i just orderd 60 8.5 Dvd+R DL verbitims. Hopfully it will work my friend burned me a memorex cd works perfect but he is like go with verbatims. god bless expensive stuff.  rolleyes.gif

WRONG!!!!!!!!!  For single layer that is the case but for D/L even the spindles (Verbatim label of course) are all authentic MKM001 or MKM003 that are made in Singapore.  You get a much better deal on the spindles than you do on the jewel cases.  SVP has the 10 pack of D/L Verbs for 16 pounds including VAT.

As mentioned by senator even in AUD you are getting hosed at those prices.  You can get Verbatim for the same price or less if you look around a bit.

£17 for 10 now on SVP.....gone up again! (were £15 a couple of weeks ago). By the way, for those that don't know....if you use Imgburn and pop in a blank, that'll tell you the media code. Just scroll to the bottom of the info. The Verbatim DL spindles of 10 I've been getting are definitely MKM001.

Yup, good discs.  Although if you really want detailed info on a disc (even works with discs that are already burned) DVDinfopro is what you want.

Depends on where you live (which country) and if you mean D/L Verbatim DVD+R or D/L Verbatim DVD-R.  D/L DVD-R are a rip-off and don't really get along with the 360 drives.
