Cant Get Any Backups To Work

nice of you to tell us the main components in a working burn...

burner used
firmware of burner used
media used


pioneer 111d fw 1.23 and verb DVD+R DL 2.4x disks works perfect, for a lot of people.

and most of the "games not working" threads, have different burners and or media.

someone please offer some suggestions. I reflashed my drive with garyopa xtreme. I just cant get anything to work. I tried using imageburner. After I create an image with wxripper, should I separate out the gamedata before I merge the SS file ?  I must be doing something wrong please help

First of all, are you sure your hitachi drive has been succesfully flashed?

Do you have a friend who could take a backed up game to your house and test it out?

You should try using Isobuilder (you can still use it with the hitachi drives cant ya?) Ive used that and my backups work perfectly. I sound like the error lies in the process your using before you burn the image....thats too many discs to waste and still not have one at least boot.

I spose the other thing you can try is an older firmware? Eg my sammy drive for whatever reason doesnt work with the Xtreme 2.0 FW but works perfectly with the v1.0.

Thank You for the replies. I dont have any friends with firmware modded 360's to help me figure this out. I did try multiple firmwares including old ones, but nothing worked.

Interestingly, I decided to burn a dvd movie at 2.4x on to one of my verbatim dvd+R dl's and my 360 still gave me an open tray error. Original games work fine. The movie worked fine on my old standalone dvd player. So Id say my Hitachi drive cant read my verbatim discs burned from my pioneer 111d drive with 1.23 firmware! I thought this was supposed to be the perfect combination. What should I do now?? Is there another high quality disc I should try? should I buy another burner? Has there ever been a case of A Hitachi dive that cant read verbatims burned from a pioneer 111D? what was the solution?

Please respond with any ideas, thank you
