I have no problems with the 111D (I Crossflashed to a 111L) TDB 8.19 Int or the 8.26 Int... on a samsung and verbatim MKM001 discs.. Dunno what GonzoDamon is talking about !!!

Aint no special firmware aslong as it has bitsetting... So the DVD+R booktype is set to DVD-ROM.. And I believe the pioneer sets the booktype to DVD-ROM on DVD+R DL discs automatically anyway.. So the pioneer firmware should be OK anyway...

I've read success stories with both 110 and 111. Personally I have the 111D with FW 1.23 from DB, but again I've read success with pretty much every firmware version for the 111. Someone may correct me if there's a non-working one.

When I bought the drive it was a fw v1.19 but I reflashed to 1.23 before starting. Works like a champ on a sammy with verbs.

Dumb question here :
When the drive is flashed (110D or 111L), does it mean that you can extract games from your PC?
And, when it's flashed, can you still burn / read pc cd-rom and /or music?

Thx, and sry again for this dumb question, cuz I have a 110d and I read at some place that it works perfectly with a release (Dangerous Brothers) and sometimes not. So I was wondering if a 111L would be easier / less coaster.

My 111D came with 1.19 firmware and I have not touched it and ever backup I have done has worked flawlessly.

i have a 110d with fw 1.41(downloaded from pioneer site)
all backups work great . i`ve used both ridisc and memorex discs (ritek d01 dye)
no problems at all
