Backing Up Multiple Games?
« on: July 16, 2006, 03:24:00 PM »

Hello everyone,
Here's my background. Currently own modded xbox 1, which I did myself. Do not own Xbox 360, but I'm planning on buying.
After reading a couple of posts and this tutorial I have a couple of questions:

1. In order to back up games do I have to remove my DVD Drive everytime? So if today I buy a game and want to back it up I have to remove my DVD drive. 2 months later I buy a new game and want to back it up I have to remove the drive again. Is that right? Because if it is, it really is a pain in the ass.

2. If statement 1 is correct, I assume that my back ups are only playable on my own XBOX 360, which means if I buy a new one the back ups are useless. Is that right?

Thanks in advanced...

Yes...or open up your PC DVD drive and use wxRipper.  But you still need to extract the SS, so you would still have to open up the Xbox 360.

Backups are playable in any fw-modded Xbox 360.

you could cut a hole on the inside grill by the dvd drives back end, then a hole in the same spot on the plastic grill... get a SATA right angle cable (double check, pretty sure right tho, full method listed in faq)...

that way... with the new firmware, all you do is remove your hard drive, and connect it to your pc to rip... pretty simple after everythings hooked up.

works for me.. looks completely stock with HDD on it.
