1.) ripped the game "gun" using wxripper making a .iso
2.) converted to .000 using ultraiso
3.) put in same folder as convert.bat along with the ss
4.) run convert.bat and it comes out to size everyone says it should
5.) i've tried burning the iso with imgburn with the correctly set layerbreak; and clonecd with the resulting .iso and i've also tried making the notepad file with the layerbreak and iso file info and renaming it to .dvd but that hasnt worked either.  i tried these burns on an nec 6650A and also 1 on a sony(dont remember the model)

i've rechecked my nme install and it looks good so any guidance would be greatly appreciated
thank you

1.) ripped the game "gun" using wxripper making a .iso
2.) creat the text file and rename it to .dvd and put in it the layer break and the name of the iso
3.) chek ur bitsetting throught dvdinfopro or any other thing that u make sure it set to dvd-rom
4.) burn the game using clone cd

Backup Not Working On Toshiba Drive Xtreme20.bin Firmware

I'm having the same problem.   I've got a Samsung 360.  I'm burning with both a Memorex burner and a Samsung burner (the Memorex supports bitsetting and is listed in another forum as "working").  I have the xtreme2.0 firmware, and I did manually hexedit my key (up to but not including 4200).  I then use ISOBuster to grab the game image, and ISOBuilder to create it.  And then CloneCD to burn, with bitsetting turned to DVD-ROM.  Using Memorex 2.4 DVD-DLs.  The ONLY issue I can IMAGINE is going wrong is after getting my SS with DVDInfoPro, it always gives me some "sense" error  when trying to unlock the drive.  But it's my understanding that if I can see ANYTHING in ISOBuster, then it must be unlocked, so I've ignored the "sense" error.  I am beyond frustrated.  I've been working on this for close to a month, now, and I've supposedly got the "easy" 360 Samsung drive to use, too!

Backup Not Working On Toshiba Drive Xtreme20.bin Firmware

I have been trying this same scenario with the same results. I am also using an NEC drive (3520a). I have tried 4 different versions of firmware that include the ability to apply bit setting changes. So far I have 4 coasters (Verbatim Media) all with the same message. "To Play this Game...". I checked the media and it does say "DVD ROM" so I know it is not a bit setting problem.

I am about to purchase a Pioneer 111d to resolve this, but before I do I have two questions:

1. Has anyone resolved this issue with a modded firmware version on an NEC burner?
2. Will buying a Pioneer drive really fix this problem?

I have flashed my Samsung drive and it plays Orig 360 games, Orig Xbox games, and backup Xbox games (Ritek Media).

Any insights or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
