Difference Between Dvr-111 And Dvr-111d
« Reply #15 on: November 05, 2006, 06:56:00 AM »

After i read everyone here saying the Pioneer was the best burner to use, i bought a 111D. I got more errors burning with it than i have ever gotten with any burner. Verbatim or Ritek media, it didn't matter, clone CD would error before burning anything. I went back to my NEC 3550 and never an error burning and unlike the few successful burns i did get with the Pioneer the ones burnt with the NEC boot up the first time every time.

The NEC 3550 does not do bitsetting stock ... you just need to get the Liggy-Dee firmware for it and it works great.
