nec burner is all i can see that could be wrong with that setup.

do you get any redundancy errors with wxripper?

i highly recommend the pioneer 111d. i have had nothing but good luck as far as backups with the 1.23 firmware.

I can't seem to force CloneCD to 1x either....any ideas people? You can select it, and the log states that's the speed being used, but it just burns at 2.4 anyway

Previously using a Pioneer 108 (fw 1.20) and now Pioneer 111d (fw 1.19)
Clone v5.2.9.1
Verbatim 2.4x MKM001-00 (10 disc spindles) at the moment, but all media tried won't burn at 1x either.

I have nero, winamp and stomp recordnow max installed also. I wonder if any of these have done something strange with the ASPI etc?

media is a very critical part of the backup process, and the burner used also contributes.

clone CD, with pioneer 111d, 1.23 firmware, with verb 2.4 DVD+R DL discs at 2.4x burn speed.

if you have extracted the game, injected the SS, and built the image correctly, that combination should work 10/10 times.

read around the forums, its no mystery.

With a pioneer 111d (fw 1.19), cloneCD v5.2.9.1 and Verbatim 2.4x MKM001-00 discs I've been able to burn at 4x with absolutely no problems - about 25 mins a disc

. I just can't burn at 1x.....I don't need to but was just curious as to why not.

GT... you still using memorex? if you arent using verbs... try them.. it should solve your problem.

try it and see.. but if you are only using memorex... i really think verbs might solve the problem.
