My friend have a HP DVD840B LightScribe DVD+R DL too, first it couldn't support bitsetting (booktype setting) then he went to cdfreak and did a search on the particular drive flash new firmware that could suport bitsetting. My friend use it to burn his legal backup games with Verbatim media and also with same type of media you were asking, have no success for his hitachi drive. But those backup work fine in my Sammy Drive.

Suggest Pioneer 111d and Verbatim Media if you have hitachi Drive

All of those listed, are only single layer DVD's.  You have to have double layer DVD's to backup your games.  I haven't seen any Dual Layer lightscribe disks yet, but since this hack I have seen prices on DL disks begin to drop, so I imagine you'll start seeing more of a variety of DL disks in stores near you soon.

I have/had a lightscribe HP DL burner. I was able to set the booktype/bitsetting to DVD-ROM and made 4 working backups then that drive died. It might still work with lightscribe, but always fails at 2% when trying to burn a game.

The lightscribe on the drive is quite nice, I've scribed many single layers, but as the poster above stated, I also haven't seen a single Lightscribe Dual Layer disc yet.

I had an HP 630c running the JSO4 firmware (latest from HP site).
