Am I The Only One?
« on: June 25, 2006, 06:57:00 AM »

i flashed my 47dj hitachi midweek and went straight to pcworld for a 10 box of 2.4x verbatim +dl printables. have so far burnt all 10 disks on my pioneer 110 successfully.

my question is am i the only one who just puts a disk in 360 from dashboard and the beauty boots straight into game, no hard drive tricks, no open and shutting the drive, not only that i can remove the game go back to dash and put another in and it does the same, all 10 disks absolutely spot on.

i`m well impressed as it seems so many have to do soft resets, anybody else had same result?

You are not the only one. After a few coasters with my NEC ND-4551 I bought a Pioneer DVR-111D burner. Now all the backups that I burn work perfectly in my 47D. No need for tricks at all.

OK, then we should have a thread for those who are booting games on the Hitachi
with no tricks.

DVD Burner

Media used(media code)

What speed you burned at

What firmware(46D,47D,etc..)

just out of curiosity, do the people who get this to work have hardrives that are more or less full? Apparently having full hard-drives gives the drive more time to boot up, just curious if this is really the case

lol well thats that theory wrong then, my hd has 2gb free and games don't boot without hdav trick sad.gif.
I have:

Pioneer 111d with 1.23 FW
Verbatim 8x Speed Discs burnt at 1x speed - Using CloneCd 5.2.8.1
RiDisc 2.4x Speed Discs burnt at 1x speed - Using CloneCd 5.2.8.1
Xbox 360 - Hitachi 46DH Drive

I tried burning a disc at 2.4x speed but the disc didn't boot, though I'm not sure I had the right SS sad.gif

Can someone who gets it working without any tricks try it without the hd attached?

PIO 111D 1.19 stock
Verb 2.4 Burnt @ 2.4 (i heard burning slower than spec can make things worse)
CloneCD 5.2.8.1
46D

All 6 boot normally (takes longer to recognise than the originals)

I have some datawrites aswell only burnt 3 with them. 2 dont work at all. The 3rd disc Tomb raider wouldn't boot at first, i had to do the 20 second shut down trick. Anyway since then no matter how i start TRL it works every time. Weird or is there something more to it  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Pioneer 109 1.58 D. Bros.
Verbatim 10x +DL
burnt at 2.4 and 1x
Hitachi 46d
CLoneCD 5.2.9.1

Must use boot tricks or just spins out.

I am going to try my LiteON and BENQ next to see a differance.

Verbatim (MKM-001-00) and Ridata (RITEK-D01-01)
Burned @ 2.4x on CloneCD 5.2.8.1
Hitachi 46D

None of them boot by themselves; I have to use a soft reset method.  sad.gif
