I have used GQ brand from Fry's with no issues. Same 111d drive and FW.

Hey, thanks for the info. That's what I plan going to Fry's tomorrow...that brand is Fecking cheap $1.50 something. Ohh wait, you mean GQ works on Hitachi DVD? If that's the case. I am happy  tongue.gif

Someone told me that OfficeDepot brand DL DVD+R is working with Hitachi. So I grabbed one 25 pack/spinle this morning. Check disc ID = Ritek

 biggrin.gif It works without problem
