Do you absolutely have to remove the layerbreak text? I have used CloneCD before and the ISO I have is absolutely ready to burn...I have the dvd file and the iso file, so do I remove the layerbreak text?

Just use ImgBurn, and you don't have to worry about it.

If you remove the text, then you have to set it manually in the options for ImgBurn. Otherwise, leave the text, and leave the option to automatic.

thanks to everyone ...snipakilla ..thanks for the tip on burning just the iso...works great ..thats an old tip sorta that goes with burning bin/cue files ..set the cue to open w/nero and double click it to burn right away ...same here..also dvddecrypt is awesome in that it tells you right away that your file is bad ...no coasters here in 22 straight burns so far..( memorex/liteon combo) .

I know that you can use Xbox360 SS Merger to merge the SS.bin with your game backup image, but does anyone know how to merge the stealth files (PFI and DMI) with your backup image?  What app do you use?  Is there a tutorial out there?

As well, even if stealth and ss are patched to a backup image already, does it hurt to do it again?  Thanks.

I have successfully burnt a few games now.

Im using the latest dvd decrypter.
I have a few ISO and 000 files but no corresponding .dvd text file ( the one with the layer break and file name in it.)

Can I create a .dvd file? I tried editing another games .dvd file to have all the corresponding details for the game without a .dvd but its coaster city. also tried XBC to open the iso or 000 files but the burn fails just after the lead in stage.

Any ideas? Or should I just delete the files and start from scratch?

drew

the .dvd file will be named the same as the 7gig game file (my project gotham racing is called pgr.iso and the .dvd file is called pgr.dvd (when you open the .dvd file there is just text inside which you changed as detailed.)

If you dont have a .dvd file you may need to re-rip it as I tried making one from another games file and editing the text...however that didnt work, unless there is a work around???

Hope that helps

Ok guys excuse me for being a newbie, but what is the easiest way to making my back ups?
I looked at wxripper / hot swapping, but it seems like a pain.
With several options what is truly the simplest way to do this disc copy.

Getting a little error while i try to burn i am using a sony dvdr+ dl media. Stands 8,5 gb on the outside of the pack. But when i try to burn with dvddectypter i get the following error.

E 17:11:04 User specified layer break position exceeds L0 capacity.

Will that say that there is not enough space free on the media? Or does it indicate other things?

Some more information.

Does anyone know if its possible to copy a copy by just reading the copy in clone cd, or dvddecrypter.  Or must you treat it like an original and back it up like an original?

I just erased the image file from my pc.  All I have is a physical copy I burned using clonecd.  Plays fine.  But I would like to make another copy of it without having to redownload it.

this kind of talk is considered piracy, please read the rules. i believe it is legal to make 1 backup of your original, the need for 2 brings up some flags.
