Problem Possibility Nr1: Hotswap disc is only single layer...

Problem Possibility Nr2: DVD-drive you're using is not DL compatible...

Problem Possibility Nr3: You loaded the DVD5 layout and used that...

If it's not any of these... well than blow me away

I had same problem,   swap your disk then Find Magic #, save that layout file.  Edit layout file using notepad,

change the fist 3 sets of numbers to this
D19408
D1072
D109344

All you really have to change is the first letter in each,  from C to D.

worked for me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

oh ya and load that layout file that you edited,  no need to swap discs again just save, edit, then open

He's right, but do this before you swap the hotswap dvd with the game ( find the magic number from the hotswap dvd, not the gamedisc)

Hi,

Yeah thanks, I did what you said and i have managed to create perfect dumped games.

I have done PGR3, TheOutfit, Fifa06RTFWC, and KingKong so far and all of them are the same size cos it says for all of them that they are 7.5gb.

Is that write or has it messed up again, ALSO

What Discs do i use to write them on, Can i use DVD+R Dual Layer 8.5gb or does it have to be DVD-R Dual Layer 8.5gb Discs cos for the original XBOX you had to use only DVD-R, not DVD+R i was not sure why?

They both seem the same to me.

Does anyone know how to open the ISO files that i have just talked about, to look to see if they have all the same files as the game, PGR3 had like XEX file or something

if anyone can help that would be great, cheers!!!

many thanks

yes just use the other little program included with wx ripper called wx360. it should be in the same folder as wxripper. just open that then open the isos to check all the data:)

Hi,

I backup the files as is not as a ISO.  Is this a problem if I want to burn it on a disc?  I can just browse the files by just using windows explorer now.  I used the wx360 to extrack the files after hotswap with wxRipper.  I rip Need for Speed and Kameo both about 5.3 gig (Kameo is alittle smaller).

So can i just put in my 360 game in the drive and load the layout file that I created with Matrix DVD and start ripping???

Or do I have to insert Matrix DVD first and then load layout file?

Thanks for help

I'm having difficulties here.

when i hotswap (by ejecting method , putting small pin inside the hole of my dvdwriter and replace with DOA4 ) and start to dump iso.. its like doing nothing and my iso size stays at 0% should it take very long to dump or do you need to see it writing quite fast?

Some noob question here.

What is the point of the hot swap method if you have to use your 360 drive to get the ss anyways?
Or did i miss something here?
And if not, y isnt it possible to get the ss using a normal dvd drive?

Thats where good resources are needed to be used, And somepeople just like to backup their games, even before they burn, or do anything firmware related.  pop.gif

also curious, since im trying this because i constantly get redundancy error almost every time.

edit: well, i managed to rip 3 games... condemned, Ghost recon, and Oblivion; all 7.05GB,
Oblivion successfully matched on SS merger 1.6
