Just got a xbox 360 from a friend of mine and it has the 3 red rings of death.
So i took it apart and followed this tutorial:

http://something4fre...rings-of-death/

Now when i turn it on the colors on the screen aint right.

Tried it both on scart and hdmi.
I think the GPU is busted and there is no way of fixing it.
Or is there still hope?
Also when i turn it on the fan goes really fast in just a few seconds.

EDIT: forgot to put the heatpipe back on, now the fan spins normally.

It's a GPU or ANA/HANA chip problem, it indicates that your X360 will gets E74 (if it has HDMI) or RRoD. You can resource this problem making the Reflow on GPU and HANA/ANA chip.

Thnx for the reply
I dont have a heat gun so i think i will let someone else do the reflow.
Ive played LA noire on it for an hour and it runs like it should except for the colors ofcourse.
If i do the overheating trick thats described in the tutorial but only on the gpu will that also do the trick or will it do more damage?

Never do any type of "over heating trick".  It does more bad things than good.
