Grahical Glitches
« on: September 17, 2009, 04:43:00 PM »

Hello everyone I am having problems with my 360. Specifically graphics glitches. I don't have a picture because I will not turn my 360 on till I get it fixed. But alot of people with similar or identical errors have been saying it comes right before a RROD or E-74. I have had the RROD before and have gotten it repaired. But my 360 is modded and I ripped the warranty sticker off not thinking when I originally modded it. So I need to figure out how to repair it myself.

If anyone needs a picture or something to go by I can link a youtube video of an X-Clamp fix that has my graphic error in the video. But I have no error codes or anything. Some people have said to reflow my 360. So my question is how do I do it myself? I don't have the money to send it off to anyone online and to be quite honest I don't trust anyone. I want to do it myself but I need to know how.

I plan on doing the Hybrid fix aswell as a reflow. So how do I do the reflow? What exactly do I need to hit with a heat gun?

Here is the video that shows my graphics error.

http://www.youtube.c...feature=related My error is at : 1:20

But basically I can start up my console play it for 1-5 minutes and then it completely freezes and I get that type of artifact. I have seen countless tutorials on youtube about a reflow but I want a tutorial that people really recommend aswell as some advice on how to do it effectively.  I don't want to get ahead of my self and screw up my 360 completely so I have been doing a ton of research.

So what do you guys think my best course of action with a fix would be? Excluding sending it of to M$ or an online shop. I want to do it myself so I can guarantee that it will not be gutswapped or messed up by anyone other then myself.

So Please direct me to a good relow tutorial and some guidelines on how to fix it. Thank you for all of your help!

Also this is a launch 360 so the very first Mobo. It has been wonderful, has only RROD one time. This will be the second time I will have to fix it/get it fixed.
