Xbox 360 Graphics Glitching...repair?
« on: February 03, 2020, 03:03:00 AM »

I just waited another month to get my 4th xbox 360 elite back from microsoft..so its very hard for me to be patient with this anymore lol..and i go to use the xbox 360 and notice in saints row 2 all the trees are flashing white (like blinking at me)

So then I put in nhl 09 and every game i start it would just freeze at the face off and glitch to the face off before the referee couldnt drop the puck in a continuously..ive tried unplugging the hard drive and all the wires then re plugging back in..and tried skate 2..when i start the game up the graphics/colors are all messed up..im guessing
this is a repaired xbox they sent me that they didnt fully repair..(ive also tried on another tv..and not using hdmi) and using my xbox games on my friends xbox so i know its not my tv or the wiring or the games.

Im just so sick of waiting for my xbox to come back and deal with all of this..I think it is a great console besides all these hardware issues..I want to try to repair it or some advice here..I rather try to fix this then send it in again or spend more money on another xbox 360..yes like i said above i cant be patient anymore..i need to play sometime lol

I will try to get a picture up if i can.

Thank you.

You're going to the get the red lights soon. Sounds like your GPU is overheating. You would have to do the x-clamp fix to fix it yourself.

Definitely sounds like a precursor to RRoD. I had a 360 start to have similar issues and in a week it finally RRoD'd on me. Now I have an elite 360 that started showing reddish/pink smears on the games; now it doesn't even display any video. It still boots but with no video. I'm quite certain that will RRoD soon.
