Component 1080p Vs Hdmi 1080p
« on: February 03, 2009, 08:30:00 AM »

I have a Samsung LN40a650 TV that supports 1080p through component..

Should I pay more money for a digital HDMI Xbox360? Or is there virtually no quality difference since I have one of the few TVs that supports 1080p through component?

Thanks.

HDMI is best, period, but if it's only a 40" screen, you might not notice that big of a difference unless you sit pretty close up.

Most people have reported that component is too over powering in the colour department, and VGA the opposite (although there were fixes to this).  HDMI is said to have it bang on.  Apart from that there won't be much difference.  If you do see a HDMI cable going cheap, then by all means pick it up and give it a try, and if its not a massive improvement or you just don't want it, send it back  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
