It should work perfectly. I have a DG834PN that I use almost exactly as you are describing, not connected to the Internet, and it works fine.

I didn't change a thing - just unplugged the internet cable. Logically it's no different from your ISP connection failing. I have used another DSL router (an SMC) as a standalone switch / DHCP server at my parents to support a completely standalone network, and that also works fine without reconfiguration.

I've since changed the config, but that's a different story...... smile.gif

Thanks I cant believe I didnt think of that ( removing the internet cable from router ) and testing it and yes of course it still works.

It's good to talk things over I don't have to worry about that now thanks alot.
