E74 After Soldering On Av Slot?
« on: April 15, 2008, 12:52:00 PM »

How can i fix this error?

I soldered on the back of the mobo where the AV slot is, and made the mistake of just ripping the solder off rather then desoldering.

It has some black areas and its a little melted too.

How can i fix this?

Dont say towel trick, blow dryer, or anything like that, i want a permement fix or no fix at all...

If this cant be fixed also tell me so i can just sell it on ebay...

You either shorted something in the AV-port out or a pin of it isnt making good contact.
Or you bended the board and caused a trace between the ana-chip and gpu to break
This will fix the problem http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=646900

i would say its the damage you cause on the AV port. E74 can be cause by anything between the Av port and the GPU. i suggest you post a picture of the damage.

next time, you should be more careful
