hi,
I 've got this weird problem with xbmc , it loads ok but if i want to play a video file it gets stuck on a black screen and the log file says

mplayer play:F:\mes videos\Asian\Bichunmoo part 1.avi cachesize:1024

Xbmc used to work fine i didn't change a thing and one day this happens
( i've got a problem with xbmp to but the program won't load anymore , stuck on the evox loading screen.
By the way i've got the latest xbmc , lates xbmp and latest Evox with a xecuter 4981 bios

You should consider setting the correct date/time on your XBOX.. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Do that in MS Dash.

i fixed the correct date and time and deleted the save files but it still doesn't work

hi ,
Haven't found yet but it may have to do with the ntsc or pal settings
i tried to change the settings from ntsc to pal but got a black screen and the following log error

does anybody know whats hapening , i tried to change with the enigma video selector  and also the through the Xenium Os but it doesn't change anything for xbmc , always stuck on the ntsc settings ( or xbmp which stays stuck on the loading screen)
i know xbmc works caus it loads and even plays music fine but no video ...

Does your screen flick the V-hold up and down, primarily black screen with a tiny bit of visibility?  If thats the case, I would almost guarantee it is an ntsc/pal issue.  This doesn't sound like a skin problem.  Check the PAL60 option in Settings/General and see what happens, or play with the resolution if it lets you.  (Sorry if I'm suggesting things you've tried)

solved it for now had to use first the xenium os to change to pal , yhen evox told me my video region was unknown , so i changed it again with enigma video switch and it worked

So it was an EEPROM region thing?  Then why could you clearly see xbmc?  I screwed up with Avalaunch once and I had a heck of a time switching blind.  Neither config magic or the newer eepromer worked for me.. Had to use eepromer 0.45

yes my guess it was a region thing but only for xbmc or xbmp , everything else was working except those two programms.
