I don't know exactly what's going on in your system specifically but I know when the official dual-purpose cables if you want 480i through component you need to have have the switch in the "TV" position... NOT "HDTV"

I'm not familiar enough with the pinout or jumpers to help you beyond that.  sleep.gif

Iirc, when you solder the pin to enable HDTV output the console defaults to 480p, which your TV does not support.
