Grabbing Videos From The 360
« on: December 27, 2007, 04:27:00 PM »

Ive got a TV card, which uses Coax (It has a Yellow RGA port too) and I was wondering if it is possible to grab videos from the 360.

The software/hardware I have is Hauppauge WinTV 878-9 and it allows screenshots and the ability to use the VGA as a TV Source, and thats something I would like to do, especially when the other half is using the TV!

I did think that plugging the 360 into my old VCR would do it (because its old, it removes Macrovision) but I dont have a scart in. It only has Coax. in, scart out, Coax. out.

Cheers!

I think you mean yellow composite video input. I get confused too when there's 2-3 different names for each of the 5 or so different kinds of cables laugh.gif . Anyways, you could use the composite video input or, preferably, the vga and record the videos in hd. Either will work. If you're wondering if the 360 outputs coded video so that you can't record, it doesn't. If it did, then people wouldn't be able to make Halo 3 montages laugh.gif .
