QUOTE(lucky1313 @ Dec 24 2007, 09:23 PM) View Post

I've just taken my Xbox 360 round to my parents house and plugged it into there LE32R8, I can't for the life of me get it to pick up a signal....The xbox is fine on my LE32R7 and works fine, as soon as I plug it into the LE32R8 no signal...I've reset the resolution using the Y and Right trigger trick but still no signal, it works fine if I plug it into the R7 or computer monitor but as soon as I plug it into the R8 vi athe VGA the screen goes blank.

I thought the VGA socket on the TV must be faulty so I plugged my laptop into via a VGA cable and it's fine...picks it up no problem.
So in conclusion the only thing that doesn't seem to work is the 360 with the VGA R8 LCD....
Any idea's on how I can fix this or a reason as to why it doesn't work ?

Any ideas, I can't play my new games on Christmas day ohmy.gif Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Hook it back up to the TV that works, set the resolution to 640x480 and the reference levels to standard. If it still doesn't work then I don't know what to tell ya....

Hi,

I have the same problem. I turn on the tv, change the source to VGA and the tv tells me there is no signal on VGA even though I should.

I found out that, if I turn off the TV and turn it on already with VGA as the source it recognizes the signal and sometimes keeps it and others it loses it after a split second ( you only have a glimpse of the xbox screen)

What I've also found is that if you leave the tv on for about 5 minutes or so, if you then change the source to VGA it gets the signal ok and everything seems fine.

Can anyone understand this problem?

sorry to post to an old (not that old)thread but i thought i'd add my two pence worth

I've got the LE37R8 Samsung tv and it does the same thing ,its VERY ,VERY picky bout what it shows on vga,it wont show my 360 on vga at all it goes into stanby if i plug the cable in my 360 with it not even ON!!!

I tried for fecking ages to find a vga lead to show my htpc on the lcd and after 5 cables all different makes it worked!!

Sooooooo,,,anyway the reason im posting other than to share my experiences is this,I rang Samsung tech support up the other day about 360 not showing on vga,it was my 2nd vga 360 cable and it works in vga on every monitor i got.
I explained the problem to the guy and he said a repair engineer will call me back??.
Not go to tv try this, reset that,oh it must be the cable like i've had in the past,no .
straight away when i said 360 on vga he said an engineer will be round, pronto?

He would not say anything else on the matter but said "It sounds like a fault"which they never say,EVER.

so if you got a problem with 360 on vga with any new samsung tv ring um, i think they got some problems with there TV's

P.S Engineer due wed 27/2/08 will post results if anyone wants.

I hope I can help.

I have a Samsung LE37A558 and a XBOX (the original one, the black XBOX, not the 360). I tried every schematic for VGA output in my media player with no luck: the same disabled PC input that you mention.

Until I tested something: grounding pin 10 of the VGA connector automatically enabled the PC input port. I read something about the pin 9 and setting it to +5v, but in my case, it just worked grounding the pin 10.

Kind regards.
