« on: December 09, 2007, 11:14:00 PM »

i recently bought bought a samsung hl-t6176s.

the tv has 3 hdmi port on the back so i decided to connect my 360 and my ps3 to them using the hdmi connectors

but i dont seem to have any audio

the samsung has an audio out and i have it connected it to my Yamaha htr-5640, my cable and all my component   devices are connected and working fine with the tv's digital output ..

but when i connect the ps3 or 360 to it i have no audio coming through the digital audio ...only through the analog

i have tried 3 different hdmi so i dont think its cables ...

and i dont think its machines cause nethier my ps3 or my 360 will give me any sound

can anyone else tell me what to ck ????

i would like my hdmi to work so i can use the digital  output for it to  work on my receiver

if your receiver supports HDMI you should be going from the console to the receiver then from the receiver to the TV... not the other way around.

This would NOT be a problem with the cable likely it's a "problem" with your TV either stripping out the audio channel or not decoding it.
