Lcd Tv Wont Display Hd

Hi Guys, i have an Xbox 360 with Component output cables and a 27" LCD TV with the following specifications (its a cheapo brand one):

Screen Size
27 inches

Resolution 1280 x 720

Analogue RGB Input Range
VGA 640 x 480,   60 - 75 Hz
SVGA 800 x 600,   60 - 75 Hz
XGA 1024 x 768,   60 - 75 Hz

INPUTS:

Analogue RGB
(PC) 15 pin D-sub x 1
Digital RGB x 1
Video x 1
S-Video x 1
Audio x 2
Y, Cb (Pb), Cr
(Pr) x 1
SCART x 1

When i try to display in HDTV mode in 480p the image comes up heavily green/distorted and split, i have experiences this before when setting my old DVD player to progressive mode.

When displaying the TV as AV with Pal-60 is works fine.

Is there anyway i can fix this, is my TV just not built for it or do i need the VGA cables?

Your getting the greenish/split screen in 480p because your component input on the TV does NOT support 480p (progressive)signals, only 480i (interlaced).

If your TV has 2 sets of component inputs, try the other component input.  I had a TV that had 2 sets of component inputs, but only one was capable of displaying progressive signals.  Weird why the tv manufacturer would do that.
