What Is The Best Method

What is the best method to fix or try to fix  the "no video" problem. I have been surfing around for the last day or so and stumbled upon the x clamp trick and some success with the heat gun fix. Who has done what and has it worked? also do you know of any up to date tutorials for this error. And yes I have voided my warranty.

I have used the penny fix many times with great success. Its easier for your average joe.....
