Xbox Live Compatable Headset Through The Soundcard Of A Pc?
« on: October 20, 2007, 01:28:00 AM »

I'm 99% sure no matter how you try and do it, it will not work.  You have to have a mini mini jack compatible headphones that connect directly into the 360 controller.  A regular PC mic will not work, even if you add a mini mini adapter to it, because most pc mics need drivers to allow them to work.

It is rather asinine how MS has rigged their mic to work.

Foe-Hammer is correct. Any headphones that you use have to be plugged into the 360s controller, or, in the case of the wireless, link directly up to the wireless board on the 360 (can't think of the name right now, but it's the same PCB that the wireless controller links up to).

P.S. Foe-Hammer: I went into this topic just to see your avatar  laugh.gif . I will give you a million dollars if you tell me where I can download that (I wouldn't use it in this forum).
