- dvi on pc TO hdmi on tv
- vga on pc TO vga on tv

 
the dvi method retains an all digital link between both and will be slightly more expensive (you'd be using a single dvi-hdmi cable or a dvi cable with a hdmi convertor on the end). the vga method is actually analogue but i doubt u'd see any difference. either option still requires you to connect a stereo cable from the pc to the tv to carry the sound.

just go for vga and remember to set your resolution on the pc to the native resolution of the screen.
