So, Im using the VGA cables on my LCD monitor to play my 360.  I have an Asus A8N5X with onboard audio (using AC'97 realtek drivers) and I am using the connector to run the two RCA audio plugs into a 3.5mm jack and plugging it into my Lin-In.  When the 360 is off, but plugged in, the PC knows its there, but when I turn on the 360 the audio controller says that there is no signal and I get no audio.  I know that the adapter and audio work since Ive been plugging the audio cable directly into my subwoofer and getting audio.  I googled it, and searched this forum, but the forum search tool sucks balls (i think its time for PHPBB).
