I just wanted to clarify something to anyone that might be wondering, this tutorial will be published for everyone as soon as it is completed in an easy-to-understand form, with plenty of pictures.

Yes it shall. Once he drops me the PM of what he has i will try and compile into an easy read and picture guide. I will try and get the full version of adobe to create a PDF which will make it a little easier to get or i can just make into a word doc. This way i can post it online just to download!! Appreciate the tut band!

Just an update, a rough draft of the tut has been sent to southkhaki and he has ordered the parts  smile.gif . It will probably be a least a week, though, because he has to wait for shipping and then actually do the mod.

Woot!! Okay.. waiting on the LCD everyone.. and then will try to make the most comprehensible tutorial from the part where you just get the case off the 360 all the way to the final product with just a 360 with an LCD in side the 360 itself =) It may be 1-2 weeks to have all the information compile.. My gf has a very nice 6mp cam i hope i can do some nice pics with. If this works out i may even offer my services for a little bit of money if you would like an LCD in your 360 also but that is at least a month from now or at least 2-3 weeks away if i am comfortable with the installing process!!

Well the mod has been officially shot down by the 3 ring of death.. It was going perfect.. i actually found a a power connection directly from the DVD drive you can just wire-tap in to (checked and it was working great) BUT when i soldered the 5/7 pin i went to test everything, it gave me the ring of death and i haven't been able to fix it since. Kind of sad everything was set up perfectly and im not really sure what caused it to crash =(  ... sorry im not able to get that tut take care!!

Man, you've got the worst luck I've ever heard. First LCD broke, and now 3RLOD 360. Anyways, try desoldering the wires from the DVD drive (not trying to be critical, but you should have used the pins on the bottom of the motherboard for the power, never draw power off of the DVD drive, especially not that much. If that's not it, the only thing I can suggest is to try the usual fixes.

To anyone that was waiting for this tut:

I'll do some polishing on the rough draft that I sent Southkhaki and post it.

No.. acutally dvd drive power was perfect to tell you the truth. i did a lot of testing and research online. Also i tested the actual xbox 360 turned on for about 10 min running that power while putting a video source in and i did this about 3-4 times to make sure nothing was wrong with draining that particular power source.. im not sure what happned but i know the mishap came after the soldering of the composite cables.. i'm really not sure of what happened because the solder look practically perfect. Ya my luck did suck a ton. At least the PSone screen was saved and i tested that and it works perfectly so i know my solders on the video board of the PSone screen is hooked up right. Im wondering if i just burnt out the connections on the video input some way.. I'm going to call MS tomorrow and see how much it will possibly be to fix.

I have a TON of pics i'll try to get to you for that tut. i haven't had a chance to sort through them and look at them as they are on my roommate's camera so i will try to get those pictures to you soon.

Actually found a service on ebay for like 30 bucks that can fix three ring of death.. Im not sure if they are able to if i acutally burnt my video part of the board but i shipped it out yesterday. Hopefully it'll be back and i'll be trying the TV again. I have a decent amount of pics i can send but they are large size which i may try to compile and sent in an email to you band. I may know what caused it. When i was looking at the pic of my soldering to the 2 pins on the underside of the video board i see that one pin kind of loops inbetween on the breadboard to another pin and i could have possibly burnt that pin when some of the solder fell off the pin i was working on and i had to recover it (thus possibly burning that pin) I'm really not sure. Hopefully the pics will help you put it together. Pretty much the only pics i dont have are the completed steps and the putting together of the xbox with the hole cut out.
