Not wishing to state the obvious, but you have not by mistake plugged in the Red Audio connector instead of the Pb Red connector. It would give the symptoms you have

your TV getting an audible buzz through the video input is very VERY bad news...

Another thing... make sure you're not plugging the Red Video signal into the TV'S AUDIO CONNECTOR... doing so would produce a buzz... through the speakers  wink.gif

As long as you haven't messed up the red audio connector (or the Red audio input) I'd say the issue is definitely internal to the 360.

If it is in-fact internal to the 360 the only thing I can suggest is to open it up and take a look to see if any components look burned out or are getting super hot as those are dead givaways for broken components.

In any case this is the first time I've ever heard of such an issue so I'd say it's not very common  sad.gif

Is your warranty up? If not, send it back, if so, try it on a different TV just to make sure. Does your set have a VGA input? Try that if it does, other than that it sounds like something is just borked.....

I recently moved and brought my 360 to the new house in the back seat of my car so that it would not be damaged by rough treatment.  However, when I went to hook it up, something had gone wrong.  I searched as well as looked back several pages, but I did not find a topic related to this.  Hopefully, someone is able to provide some insight.
When I plug in the component cables for the HD, the red video feed does is not providing the proper video signal but is introducing audible buzz instead.

I have tested with another cable (purchased and returned) to ensure that it is not the cable.  I have tested the display (1080i plasma) with my Xbox.1 using 1080i settings.  I have also tested the 360 cables on another video input.  All the tests suggest that the 360 output on the red video component is bad.

When I boot up, my color is not right...the same as you would get if the red cable was unplugged or loose.  Insead of the proper color I get a loud buzz noise from the TV.  If I unplug the red cable from the TV, the buzz stops and the picture remains the same.

The warranty on the 360 is voided.  Is this something that can be diagnosed and addressed?  Is there a known issue that would cause these symptoms?

TIA,
B

Nobody asked you. Another person voiding their own warranty, breaking something, and not able to get it fixed, sad..

My set doesn't support VGA input.  Is there an S-Video alternative?
