Hd Vga Cable Q. With A Plasma
« on: June 29, 2007, 07:46:00 AM »

Got a Goodmans 42".

No 6 Pin HD Plug sockets, and Im currently using the 3 Pins in the Video and Audio In sockets.

Just wondering if it is worth getting a HD VGA cable, as I have a PC connection to the Plasma.

Will it improve the quality any more than the Pins?

I dunno if this info helps:

TV supports following PC Formats:

DOS Modes 640 x 400 and 720 x 400
VGA (640 x 480) @50Hz - 90 Hz repitition
SVGA (800 x 600) @50Hz - 90 Hz repitition
WVGA (840 x 600) @50Hz - 90 Hz repitition

It also has a DVI-D connection, but I know there arent any cables for that.

Any help appreciated. Cheers.

If you're currently using Composite (yellow video with red and white audio) then YES VGA will offer a substantial improvement

if you're currently using Component (red, green and blue video with red and white audio) then VGA will probably not offer much of an improvement.

Unfortunately the 360 doesn't support your displays native resolution...
