Elite Hdmi: Dvd Audio Crackles, Static, And Noise

have you tried testing it by having the audio use a different cable such as optical digital or composite left/right and seeing if the symptoms still persist?

- I don't have a receiver and thus no optical digital input to try.

- I tried using the breakout dongle and using the RCA (red/white) audio cable to the RCA input on my tv for my HDMI input but the result was the same.  I believe since the HDMI is still sending an audio signal, my TV accepts that one and not the one from the dongle.  The RCA input for my HDMI port is for DVI->HDMI conversion where there would be no audio coming to the HDMI port.
