As i was laying in bed last night, one more possible cause to this problem hit me.

For the last 5 or 6 months, i have not played Project Gotham Racing 3 once, not once at all. But when i went to play the 360 two days ago (the day this problem started), i decided to play PGR3 and lo and behold there was an update available for it, so naturally i downloaded it. But after it downloaded and i started playing, thats exactly when it started doing this color distortion crap.

I know from reading around that certain Xbox Live updates cause hardware and software problems (even killing systems), but could the PGR3 update i downloaded have caused a video problem?
Can i just use the HDD format option to find and delete the PGR3 update and see if that helps?

do the maintenence trick. goto memory/(Y)device options, then press X,X,RB,LB,X,X. then you will have to redownload all updates you have downloaded.

No need for two topics on the same subject, make sure the switch is to HD on the video cable.

Just got off the phone with Microsoft Xbox support and after having already tried all of their troubleshooting techniques, they said my console needs "Serviced" (ie. Im probably going to get a new console or its a really easy fix) so all i can do now is wait for my pre-paid box to come.

Damn, gotta put my mod on hold now. Shucks
