The cables have absolutely zero to do with this problem - it's likely the GPU getting too hot and basically crapping out.  If it's under warranty, send it back - if it's not, then mod it for some better cooling - see my sig and/or FAQ in the Hardware section before you do some serious damage (3 ROL) ..

well, i have a 3 year warrenty from best buy so i will just let it do its thing and if it dies i will just get a new one with the HDMI port and all that good stuff. it does not bother me that much, it only happens once in a while. and i dont feel like dealing with microsofts shit
