Just Got A Xbox 360.. 2 Problems!

First of all everytime i try to load a dvd my xbox changes from 720p to 1080i which my tv cant handle so i get a blank screen, it does it with update on halo 2 aswell.. also when i go onto xbl and try to play halo 2 and update it says xbl not responding but it work all other times?? help!

not after 20 mins, you should bump your own topics after an hour if you feel the need.

you have to remember most of the people on here live in a different time zone.

some additional info would be necessary to determine your problem... the kinds of cables you're using is a good start

you also might get more replies if you post in the proper forum.

General Chat might get more traffic but poeple there don't care as much about helping you with AV issues.

AV chat has less traffic but people there are almost always willing to help with AV issues.

Componant.. with a vga adapter i used on the xbox.. Thinking of getting a vga cable

You could try setting the 360's resolution to 480i in the options blade and see if anything happens..... so this before putting the game in. as far as the xbl I have no input.
You could try no using the vga adapter.... or are you playing this on a computer monitor?

Ordered a vga cable and ill see if it helps.. would be better for me also cuz i only have one com input... i can use that on my xbox and vga input on my 360 instead if moving it all around. This Halo 2 thing is still playing up .. i have even emailed MS like 2 days ago (they said 24h reply).. When i goes onto the update screen i get a cant connect to xbl error..
