same hear, well after i get my new HDTV in about 2 weeks
hell why not a co-akal RF for verry old tvs when ya go to your grandparantes house tongue.gif
dont forget that there is DVI-D (digital) (the one your thinking of) and DVI-I witch is a hybrid of digital and analog

thre are 4 little pins added for DVI-I for RGB

OK, now I'm a bit confused.  I thought that one DVI-I had both the analog and the digital while the DVI-D did not.  Which signal do video card connectors have on them ?  They obviously carry the analog signal because you can use that little adapter.  Are you saying that the DVI connection on the monitor can accept an analog signal too ?

But if they made a HDMI one then couldn't we get a converter that converts HDMI to DVI?  (I've seen these at wal-mart)

But since HDMI is video and sound
DVI is only video,  does the HDMI->DVI adapters usually have the RCA (red/white) cables?

If an HDMI video pack came out, then yes you could use the HDMI to DVI cable with your HDTV.  It would need separate audio outputs just for that purpose.  My HDTV only has 2 sets of component inputs so I had to use an HDMI to DVI cable for my digital cable box.  It has a separate set of outputs for such a case, and the TV also has an option to use a separate suadio line with the HDMI signal.  So, it worked out great and I didn't need a component switcher.
