I'm just curious. Have you set the 360 to output digital audio?? You didn't state that in your thread.

grr.gif  I found out a lot of people are having this problem. I got a component that comes with the premium and it works perfect. Dont buy a pelican component cord if you plan on using optical audio!  grr.gif

I have three of em! I dont know if ill be able to return them. Ill probably call pelican and complain. sad.gif

I had a cheap pelican optical cable from my XBOX that I used with my 360 cuase I need my good long optical to go from my DVD near the TV like 6FT to my Surround Receiver.

The 360 is in my audio cabinet so I figured use the short one with the 360.

After hooking up my sound while playing games would drop out every 20 seconds or so.

Thought it was my audio switcher than thought it was the 360 then changed the wire and all is well.

Whats crazy is the wire works with other components just not with the 360.

The early pelican cables had optical ports, but they were completely NON FUNCTIONAL.
