as long as your tv isnt like 20 years old it should work on the tv, power could be an issue however.

Hey,

I'm living in Holland (PAL) and im going for an internship for 9 months to San Fransisco.
If i buy an xbox 360 in America, will i be able to use it in Holland too on a 100hz tv?

Regards,

flxfxp

Hi,
You have to buy a 220V to 110V adaptor because NTCS/U versions are 110V power suply , and you can search your tv model on the web and to find out NTCS support, if it is okey, you can connect Ntsc-U Xbox360 to your tv via Euro-Scart connector.

Best Regards.

Thanks for your reply!
Anyway, i tok my xbox from Holland and now i want to use it here in the US.
First of all, the video converter on the modchip works great, but now i need a good power converter to convert from US power to EU power. I bought one at radioshack, but it seems not to be working properly since the xbox switches off after aprox. 15 mins. Maybe one of the problems is that is is a 40 watt converter and for what i think it is 60 hz, not converting to 50.

Does someone know where i can order one that is working properly? an internet shop with us shipping would be great  smile.gif

Thanks in advance!

You want to get yourself a power converter with at least 300 watt output.
40 is just not enough, the 360 PSU outputs 203. 50hz/60hz on the power side of things is irrelevant.

And incase you haven't got it sorted yet  component/VGA cables will eliminate any problems you have with 60/50hz on your TV.

hope that helps
