Um, you have quite the argument...Now, we made mod chips for X1, and did it affect anything....Um NO. Will the 360 be any different, NO... MS could most likly care so less about mods. All they have to do is upgrade the software to out-di modders... It is that easy...

I think MS is coming out with one but they will not tell you. You see, if they said, "Next year we are coming out with a new 360 with HDMI out and HD-DVD built right in." Sales for the current 360 will slow to a crawl as people will wait for the new 360 to come out. So they will sell as many current 360's as they can. Then 3 months or so before they are ready to launch they will announce it. If it is going to come out we will hear about it around the time the PS3 comes out, shortly after PS3 release pending on PS3 success or maybe at E3 '07.

You expect this kind of thing with all other electronics, evolution of the product, different versions, upgrades, but not really with consoles until the next generation. I'm pro HDMI, but being an early adopter with Microsuck in this case does not pay off.

I'm glad I have a slew of friends that don't care about HDMI. I'll sell to them at some point. Kinda lookin forward to a PS3 at some point instead.

If you look at the pic, below the HDMI is a regular connector.

There is a lot of information and support for both sides (Yes/No) about a new "model" of the Xbox 360 with or without HD-DVD internal and/or HDMI port. We know that MS will not release any info supporting this new model if it does exist until the last minute as sales of current packages would drop (unless there is a price break coupled with the new model release).

Anything from here on is pure s p e c u l a t i o n . . .

So, argue a bit, then hop on the 360 and enjoy. Time will tell.

well, if this IS true, then i finally feel good about buying best buys 2 yrs replacement plan.

in case no one bought this i'll expliain how bestbuys plan works. if at anytime during the 2 years your prodcut breaks, they exchange it in-store.

this means, if the old product is no longer made or carried by them, they exchange your product for the next model up.

so if this is true and if it comes out within the next 2 yrs, i'll be replacing my 360 with the HDMI models.

but like the last few 360 RUMORS this one might not be true either.

you know why?

well, MS have never released any form of a console with a standalone port, always done through the a/v multi out.

and secondly. the network ports is always on the right. it is on the current 360s and on the xbox 1.

and thirdly, that heat sink is on the wrong side, same goes for the pcb. the pcb should be on the left, cos the av multi and the network is always on the far right hand side of the xbox and 360s motherboards.

only plausible reason for the wrong way round is that someone horizontally flipped the image, but why? and if they were in some image editing software, they could easily photoshop it.
