New Xbox 360 Coming with HDMI port?

We received this image from a source who wishes to remain anonymous. An Xbox 360 motherboard with a HDMI-port, interesting ...
Our source has seen 3 of these motherboards already, so it looks like Microsoft might be working on a new Xbox 360 version with a HDMI-port. However it's totally unknown when/if it'll be released to the public and if this will be included with all packages or only on the Premium. Or, who-knows, maybe it'll be for a 3rd package ... maybe even with an internal HD-DVD drive after all, to compete with the high-end PS3? (but that's pure speculation and MS PR recently denied working on an internal HD-DVD).

A digital output would certainly come as good news for those out there with new HDTV-sets and it could be pretty useful for the HD-DVD addon too, certainly if those movies will ever be HDCP-protected (Image Constraint Token flag). However people who already paid $400 for their 360 might feel less happy if Microsoft releases this soon.

Great news in my mind. If this is true, and I hope this is, the Xbox 360 can finally actually put out full HD and be all out. The sad news is, what about the people who have old 360's with out?

I need that. It kinda pisses me off, though. I just layed $400 for a 'premium' xbox, and its not the best

If thats real thats cool, but i was thinkin MS would have released an add on, as they said they dont want to force anything uneeded onto people. Plus it'd suck the ammount of people who would have to buy another 360 just for the HDMI port.

Agreed a 100% this really bites for current 360 owners,but something gives me the idea that all the 360s that will have this port will also have a Philips drive that doesnt currently have a hacked firmware (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I'm not exactly sure if this is possible as the current output is not digital with HDCP (I believe) so the only way to do it would be throught the Xbox 360 HD-DVD Add-On, Right? Or would it be possible to go USB-HDMI (USB Not Fast Enough I believe). Unless they offer a not digital to digital conversion box, I don't think it is possible.
Oh and I noticed, a third package could that mean a HD-DVD built it package; even though MS denied it? And then the rest bundled seprate with a coupon of some sort to redeme it?

Could MS really make make an exchange program, it seems SO unlikely at this point. Maybe if you go to where you bought it they could exchange it.

You have to wonder if they make any more changes. E.g. 100gb hard drive, built in wireless lan and HD-DVD?

It was short sighted of MS in the first place not to offer a HDMI port on the 360. Not that it makes much difference (in picture quality) compared to component. Perhaps you need a HDMI port now for the HD-DVD addon?
