audio is not transferered through vga you need seperate speakers to hook up to

I don't see that happening because the xbox outputs analog video signals anddvi is digital,  plus even then Im pretty sure only video is transferred through DVI (Digital Video Interface) and you would still need a seperate audio input

so the advantage is with the lcd tv's with HDMI ports over the ones with DVI ports. cheers for the hlp m8
