you can't connect the 360 to a DVI input, it's not supported, and I HIGHLY doubt your reciever can translate the signal.

I'm sure you're plasma has component inputs, just use those.

Wait... If It could do that, can't that make it possible for 360 HDMI cables?

I'm fuzzy on this whole analog to digital converting... Seems like a lot of computing would be required.

Well, he didn't specify wether the TV's DVI input was analog or digital (if you don't know what I mean, go to wikipedia.com). If the tv's DVI input is analog, it would work, but if it's digital, it won't work.

you can get a dv converter it would convert the dvi port to a vga port so that you could use the monitor cable for the xbox 360 the only problem is i have tried this on a monitor but not on a tv so you could purchase a cheap dvi to vga converter then try to run the computer off of it and see if it works if it doesn't you will know and you won't have to purchase the xbox 360 cable if it doesn't work

buy a samsung sir-ts360 directv reciever.. has component input and dvi output
