sup guys. i have an infocus screenplay 4805 and the screen projected on the wall is pretty dam big. its been shining on just the wall and i was thinking of getting a screen for better picture..i hear blackout cloth is really good with projectors but the problem is i cant find any screen big enough. any suggestions? heres a picture to give u guys an idea of the screen size.

DEFINITELY get a Da-Lite screen...

I got mine through one of the vendors on eBay... when I got mine (a few years ago) they were called "The Projected Image" but I think they've since changed their name... I believe they go by "Big Screen Center" now http://www.bigscreencenter.com

There are a number of different sizes, surfaces and retaining types

I personally use a Manual-Retractable 96x96 Da-lite Model B with a Glass Bead Surface. If I were to buy a new one today I'd probably go for something a little different.

Depending on the type of projector your using, the brightness of your room, the viewing angle of your seating, your options for mounting the screen, whether or not you have to get behind it, and of course, your price range all effect what you choose.

The site above has some great prices and they explain all the different types pretty well.

I wouldn't fret it too much because no matter WHAT you buy it will be worlds better then projecting on a wall  

picking the RIGHT screen though will allow you to eek out ever last ounce of your projectors performance though.

Home Depot or Lowed have this white board that is anti-glare for $10.95, it is really good

EDIT: while we r on the whole projector talk, does any1 know of a nice and relitively(sp?) cheap projector mount?

 u couldn't possibly miss it, it's a huge ass board lol
and as for the mounting, the cheapest one are usually on ebay, i never use them though because i didn't trust the quality of those mount.
If you can't find the board, there is some anti glare paint at local paint shop, those work really good too

iight thanks for the info... 1 more question.. that boards width looks fine but the length looks like itll come short. was there any bigger boards there?

Anti-glare?  That thing looks like it amplifies glare.  It's a white board with a glossy surface...  I'd project on a wall before I'd use that.

I've had it up and hanging from my ceiling for a good 8 or so months now and it's as rock solid and stable as it ever was. I was considering building my own (I work in engineering and have access to machinery) but this one is built pretty much how I was planning on building mine, it's very simple and will hold your projector well so long as you screw it into something wood (not just dry wall or plaster) and make sure to adjust it so that the projector is balanced well (considering this is a universal mount in every sense of the word).

I agree completely I'd much rather project onto a wall then that shiny POS laminate. That stuff is great as a dry erase board but you'd be better off projecting on to a wall or a bed sheet before that.

What's your price range, if you give me an idea maybe I can help you find something in it. I only paid $200 shipped for mine, sure the REALLY nice screens are $400 on that site but they have much cheaper ones too that will do you worlds better then some piece of $10 laminate.

well to tell you the truth my price range isnt that high... say under 100 bux? i was looking more for a type of material or something other than buying a premade manual pull down screen because it would be cheaper....i figured buying a huge sheet of blackout cloth or something similiar would be a hell of a lot cheaper than a premade screen.
EDIT: i also looked at that mount and i realized all the mounts have the projectors upside down... is there a mode in the menu where i can invert the screen?

Well of course the text on the wall is going to look blurry.  The projecter is focused on the whiteboard which is a few inches closer than the wall.

...how is it focuses on just the white board?  you're not making sense.  i basically move the projector to the right a little bit to give u a comparison.  It should focuses on the whole view not right side or left side, the board is 0.2 " thick.   You can't possiblly compare on the depth level of both size due to 0.2 inches.
And it wasn't just the blurry of the text, it's much better on the board because it's brought out the dark textures better.
