ummm my tv keeps on switching back to 480i even tho i have the console set to 1080i and the tv supports all the way up to 1080p so can someone tell me what the hell is going on ?

Your SDTV/HDTV switch is probably not all the way over on the AVIP connector.

Few possible Problems

1. Are you using component cable (red, green, blue) ?

2. If you are using component cable, is it switched on to HDTV on the cable (there's a switch on the cable)

ahah thanks alot, i just checked now, i never saw that before... the switch meaning... looks a hell of alot better
