Was just wondering if at all possible there is any way to record footage of games from the pc monitor screen..

Obviously if i ran it through my tv i would need a capture card etc..i have used this method b4..however to record from my monitor any footage previously i have used a prog called Camtasia studio regarding the pc...

Now if im using the same monitor surely a capture card isnt needed..

please dont flame or be rude.....i think its a suitable enough question.....would just love to record some of my GRAW co-op games for sig and avatar designs that i do
