I'm looking to purchase a product that will allow my Xbox and my Xbox 360's optical cables to connect to one audio receiver.  It's annoying to have to keep unplugging the optical cable and put it in the system you want to have sound.  Please help, thanks!

*The only products I have seen are splitters to connect an Xbox to TWO digital receivers... not what I want.

The ones you've seen, like THIS, reportedly DO split 2-into-1 as well.  That said, I have one (that particular one) and I can't get it to work.  I may need to try other cables, but it hasn't worked with any configurations as of yet.

I've been looking at this stuff... my final decision was to eventually just upgrade my receiver. I'm fine right now though, because my receiver has two inputs, and I have no real DVD player in my setup. That will change one day though, and I'll have a better receiver to go along with it. After all, if I can spend $800+ on a 360, controllers, and games... why not some money into a new receiver?

i use something very similar, it actually looks exactly the same just different brand.  got it off ebay for cheap works fine.  i just hate having to turn the damn thing to switch inputs but i haven't been using my original xbox or dvd player that much so it's stayed on input 1 (360) for quite a while now and have forgotten about having to switch it  anyways, point is, it works good even the 2-way splitter that someone posted seems good, you won't have to get up then
