Also, change the video output on the 360 to 1080i even if you have a 720p TV.  I found that my 720p LCD rp looked so much better when the 360 was set to 1080i.

That's probably not a good idea.  All games support 720p, but not all games support 1080i.  Therefore, games that do not support 1080i are being scaled by the 360 to 1080i and the tv scales them again to 720p.  Every time an image is converted or scaled there is some loss, albeit a small amount.  It makes the most sense to set the 360 to the native resolution of your set to minimize the scaling that is occuring (and also the loss).

Sidenote: analog is better than digital if the source is analog.  Analog cameras will generally have better image quality than digital cameras.  It's a loss thing again from converting analog to digital.  Same holds true for music formats.  With the right system, a record will sound better than CD or DVD.  If the source is analog, analog media/signal will be better.
