is there no way to centre the screen?

sometimes when i switch from scart input to vga my screen is off centre and i get a black segment in the picture. all i do is hit auto adjust and it centres the picture.

you are right that you will lose quality running it at a higher res than the native one of the beamer.

i think most devices with a vga input have the facility to move the screen etc (i may be wrong!)
