Video Splits In Two

i have a westinghouse 17" LCD in my room and im trying to hook up so i can view it in 480, the tv specs says its viewable in 480, taken off the westinghouse website
Compatible Modes
  NTSC
480i
1280 x 1024, 60Hz (preferred timing)

there is only one set of av inputs, red, yellow, white, then on a pulldown cable there is red, green, and blue....i have them all plugged in and whenever i switch to hdtv it screen splits into halves like A:A...i dont really know whats going on, all help is appericiated

if you are using the component input remove the yellow RCA plug and leave the red and white ones for sound.

you are sending two signals at once to the LCD.

if that doesnt work, then please post a picture of what is happeneing. but i think it is trying to display two pictures
