Eh youre supposed to flick it to HDTV, then boot up, the image will show 480p (or 576p for PAL) and then you can navigate into the system setup and choose 720p or 1080i at your discretion.

It is supposed to boot when you flick the switch while its running, why, is possibly because the wiring of the cable itself (the switch chooses between two wirings) determines tings like what is shown in the dashboard and what the hardware puts out.

I have the WD52825 and it works and looks great in 720p and 1080i - no problems at all. I second what Joergen said.

I've got a 62 inch Mitsubishi WD62525 and I bought a core system along with the HD cables.  The xbox comes up just fine in "tv" mode, but if I try to start it up with the switch on HDTV I don't ever get a signal.  If I start it in TV mode then switch it over to HDTV, the unit resets itself.

Am I doing something wrong?

Uh just a question but most tv's have certain input selections. This means if you have the switch flipped to tv and you get a picture... your tv is using it's rca inputs. You have to select your component inputs. (This also means you need to have your component cables hooked up tongue.gif )

So the question is: How do you have your stuff hooked up and what input is your tv looking at?

I agree with the few posts above. Set cables to HDTV before turning the system on. Then change the res in the 360 to 1080i. I have the WD-52725 and everything looks AMAZING !
